- I was born in Chicago, Illinois, many moons ago. I recently moved to the mountains of Tennessee with my husband Bill and have been enjoying the beauty of our surroundings for the past few years. I worked for the US Government for the Department of the Air Force, in the Civilian Personnel Office for 32 years. That is where I met my husband Bill. I started out as a Clerk-Typist and ended my career as a Personnel Management Specialist/Personnel Systems Manager, responsible for the computer/data files of all the Civilian employees on the base located at Chicago, Illinois until it closed in 1997.
